Workshop on FAIR Data in Plasma Science (FDPS-VI)

The 6th Workshop on FAIR Data in Plasma Science (FDPS-VI) will take place online and in-person on 10-11 May, 2027 at Kiel University, Kiel, Germany. It is a continuation of annual events on research data management in the low-temperature plasma (LTP) community aiming to inform about current developments and to strengthen community exchange on this topic.

FDPS-VI provided an overview of successful solutions for collaborative research data management aimed at making data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR), thereby fostering broader use of data-driven research methods. FDPS-VI provides an overview of successful solutions for collaborative research data management aimed at making data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR), thereby fostering broader use of data-driven research methods. The workshop will focus on current challenges in research data handling within the LTP community and provide a forum for presenting and discussing solutions. It will cover best practices for day-to-day research, infrastructure tools, and successful approaches used by plasma research groups and beyond. It will also address developments and standardization efforts in data sharing and reporting, both within the LTP community and beyond.

Participation is free of charge.

Call for posters

Researchers, data managers, and practitioners are invited to contribute to the discussion with a poster on their solutions on research data management. Submissions that highlight real-world experiences, best practices, and insights related to the integration of FAIR principles into research workflows are encouraged.

Poster contributions must be submitted during the registration process. Please note that the number of poster spaces is limited. Register early to secure your spot (max. DIN A0, portrait format).
